Day in June

The garden is entering its summer lull, when the fresh bloom of spring turns to the hot jungle green of a Maryland summer. But a few things are blooming.

In my efforts to prioritize natives, they are the first five photos. The rest are beautiful interlopers.

Calycanthus (Carolina Allspice)
Campsis radicans (Trumpet Creeper)
Monarda
Hydrangea arborescens
Lonicera sempervirens (coral honeysuckle)
Shasta daisy
Cosmos
Salvia
Daylily
Hydrangea (non-native variety, I think “Blue Billow”
Rose “Eden”
Verbena bonariensis
